The contextual menu associated with the
"Navigation - Guidance" applica-
tion appears as a superimposed display,when this is the application currently in
use in the main screen window.
This menu is limited to the followingfunctions:
Ð changing of the initial route (ente- ring of a diversion),
Ð switching to "Selection - Movement on map" mode*,
Ð storing of the current location (postal address if available or, if it is not, the GPS co-ordinates),
Ð changing of the route calculation criteria,
Ð stopping or resuming of guidance (displaying of the message whichchanges depending on the pre-vious status). General notes on the "Map" application* The
"Map" application has two dis-
play modes: Ð "Vehicle following on map" mode, representing active guid-ance on the map on the right and alarge-scale view of the next inter-section on the left,
Ð "Selection-Movement on map"mode, representing consultation ofthe map on the right and a com-pass on the left.
To switch from one mode to the
other, press the dial on the right
briefly, then select the "Move the
map" or "Exit map mode" function.
In "Selection-movement on map"
mode, you can see symbols, repre-senting the various types of serviceswhich exist, sorted by category:
Ð "Administration and safety" symbol on a grey background,
Ð "Hotels, bars and restaurants" symbol on a yellow background,
Ð "Other businesses" symbol on a purple background,
Ð "Culture, tourism and entertain- ment" symbol on a white back- ground,
Ð "Sports centres and open air cen- tres" symbol on a green back-ground,
Ð "Transporation and automobiles" symbol on a blue background.
"Navigation - Guidance" contextual menu A
"Zoom" function enables you to
enlarge the map, in accordance withthe eleven preset levels relating tothe following scales:
Ð 100 m/cm, 200 m/cm, 500 m/cm,
Ð 1 km/cm, 2 km/cm, 5 km/cm,
Ð 10 km/cm, 20 km/cm, 50 km/cm,
Ð 100 km/cm, 200 km/cm. This is achieved by turning the dial. This mode permits:
Ð displaying of the vehicle on the map with the route proposed by the navigation if the guidance isactive,
Ð zooming in on the map in accor- dance with the eleven preset levels,
Ð displaying of the "Navigation -
Guidance" contextual menu.
"Vehicle following on map" mode

This mode permits:
Ð selection of any point on the map
to obtain guidance towards it or to obtain information about it (postal
address if available or, if it is not,GPS co-ordinates),
Ð lateral movement on the map by means of the four directionalarrows, representing the four cardi-nal points (North, East, South,
West),
Ð zooming in on the map in accor- dance with the eleven preset levels,
Ð displaying of the "Map"contextual
menu.
"Selection - Movement on map"mode
From the general menu , the main
"Map" menu offers various options
for guidance management:
Ð switching to "Selection - Movement on map" mode,
Ð direction of the map towards the North or in the direction of the vehicle,
Ð recentering of the map around the vehicle,
Ð opening of the services selection window visible on the map, suchas hotels, service stations, etc.
Ð displaying of the window for enter- ing the description for recordingthe current position of the vehiclein a directory file.

VENTILATION 1. Windscreen de-icing or demisting vents.
2. Front window de-icing or demisting vents.
3. Side vents.
4. Centre vents.
5. Air outlet to front footwells.
6. Air outlet to rear footwells.
Advice on operation Place the air flow control at a level sufficient to ensure a good renewal of air in the passenger compartment. The "OFF" position cuts off all the air circulation in the passenger compartment.
Note: only use the "OFF"position occasionally (risk of condensation).
For perfectly even air distribution, take care not to obstruct the exterior air intake grilles, the vents and the air ducts und er
the front seats, as well as the air extractor located in the boot. Check that the passenger compartment filter is in good condition.

2. Automatic comfort programme
Press the AUTObutton. The sys-
tem automatically regulates the temperature level of the passen-ger compartment in line with the
temperature that you have selected. Toobtain the correct ambiance, it controls the
temperature, the air flow, the distribution andintake of air as well as the air conditioning. Note: for your comfort, the settings are
retained between two start-ups of your vehicle if the temperature in the passenger compart-ment has not changed significantly; other-wise, operation resumes in automatic mode.
3. Automatic visibility programme
In certain cases, the auto-matic comfort programmemay prove inadequate todemist or de-ice the win-
dows (because of humidity, numer-ous passengers, ice, etc.). Selectthis programme to rapidly clear thewindows.
To exit this programme and return to the automatic comfort programme,press the AUTObutton.Automatic operation
1. Temperature setting
The required temperature is displayed. Press the up and
down arrows to change it. Asetting of approximately 21allows a comfortable settingto be obtained.
AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING Note:
in the cabriolet version, the effectiveness of the system may be reduced.

5. Air distribution
Successive presses of this button allow the air flow tobe directed alternately to:
Ð the windscreen (demisting or de-icing),
Ð the windscreen and the footwells,
Ð the footwells,
Ð the central and side vents and the footwells,
Ð the central and side vents.
7. Air intake
Press this button to recycle
the interior air. Recirculation,
shown on the display, pre-ventsthe entry of unpleasant
odours and fumes from the outside.
Avoid prolonged recirculation of the
interior air. To do this, press again toreturn the system to automatic pro-cessing of the air intake. Note: To prevent condensation on
the inside of the vehicle in cold or
wet weather, you are advised toavoid using this mode.
4. Air conditioning
Press this button to stop
cooling of the air. The"ECO"symbol lights up.
Press again to return to
automatic operation of the air condi-tioning. The "A/C"symbol is dis-
played. 8. Switching the system off
The
OFF button enables the
entire system to be switched off.
Temperature-related com-fort is no longer guaranteed
but a minimal flow of air is main-tained to prevent misting and to
renew the air. Pressing the OFF, AUTO or "visibility"
button again reactivates the system with the values set before it was
switched off.
Note: if you wish to cut off the flow of air
completely, press the air intake button 7.
9. De-icing the rear window and
the mirrors
Press this button to de-icethe rear screen and the mir-
rors. The de-icing system
switches off automatically.
It is possible to stop the de-icing
before it switches off automaticallyby pressing the button again. Note: this function is disarmed when
the roof is stored in the boot. Important precaution Operate the air conditioning system for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice amonth, to keep it in perfect working
order. If the system does not produce cold
air, do not use it and contact your
PEUGEOT dealer.
Manual operation
If you wish you can make a different
choice from the one offered by the
system, by changing a setting. Theother functions will still be managed
automatically. Press the
AUTObut-
ton to return to completely automaticoperation.
6. Air flowThe air flow may beincreased or reducedby pressing the buttons+or Ðrespectively.
Notes The condensation created by the air conditioning causes a normal flow ofwater under the vehicle when sta-
tionary.
To prevent condensation on the inside of the vehicle in cold or wet
weather, you are advised to avoidusing the "ECO"mode.

Groups 2 and 3: from 15 to 36 kg L4 - "Recaro Start'': installed using a three-point seat belt.
The height and width of the seat back and length of the seat cushion must be adjusted according to the age and build of your child.
L5 - "Klippan Optima": installed using a three-point seat belt. From the age of 6 years (approximately 22 kg), the booster is used on itsown.
Refer to the "Summary table for the installation of child seats".
Never leave one or more children alone and unsu-pervised in a vehicle. Never leave a child or an
animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun and has thewindows closed.
To protect your young children from the sun, fit blinds on the rearwindows. Never leave the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle. Observe strictly the recommenda- tions for assembling and securingthe child seat as shown in thechild seat instructions.
To prevent the doors from
opening accidentally, use thechild lock*. Also, do not open the rear win- dows more than a third*.
* According to model.
Disarm the passenger air bag when installing a "rearwards facing" child seat on the front passenger seat. Otherwise, the child would risk beingkilled or seriously injured were the air bag to inflate.

THE ALARM This provides two types of protec- tion: Ð
exterior protection: it sounds if a
door, the boot or the bonnet is opened.
Ð interior protection: it sounds if
the volume inside the passengercompartment changes (breaking ofa window or a movement insidethe vehicle).
Note: the interior protection alarm
does not function if the vehicle's roofis open (cabriolet position). Setting the alarm Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
Set the alarm by locking or dead-locking using the remote control(button Aindicator light flashes
once per second).
Note: if you wish to lock your vehicle
without setting the alarm, use thedoor lock. When the alarm is triggered, thesiren sounds and the direction indi-cator lights flash for thirty seconds. After triggering, the alarm remains set.
Warning:
if the alarm has been trig-
gered ten times in succession, on the eleventh time it becomes inac-tive. Note: if button Aindicator light flash-
es rapidly, the alarm has been trig- gered while you were away fromyour vehicle. Disarming Unlock the vehicle with the remote control key (button Aindicator light
goes out). Note: if the alarm has been triggered
while you were away from your vehi- cle, the rapid flashing of the indicatorlight will stop when you switch on theignition.
To set the alarm with exterior protection only If, while you are away from the vehi- cle, you wish to leave a window par-tially open or a pet inside the vehicle,you should choose exterior protec-
tion only. Switch off the ignition,
In the next ten seconds, press button Auntil the indicator light is
on continuously,
Get out of the vehicle,
Set the alarm by locking or dead-locking using the remote control(button Aindicator light flashes
once a second).
Note: when the alarm is set but the
remote control does not operate: Unlock the door with the key and
open it. The alarm is triggered.
Switch on the ignition. The alarmis disarmed.
Incorrect operation When the ignition is switched on, if button Alights for ten seconds, there
is a fault in the siren connection.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked. Automatic activation* The alarm is activated automatically two minutes after the last closure ofa door or the boot. In order to avoid accidental triggering of the alarm when a door or the bootis opened, it is essential to first pressthe unlocking button on the remotecontrol.

THE DOORS Opening the doors from outside When you place your hand behind the handle, the window automatical-ly lowers by a few millimetres. It risesagain after a few seconds andadjusts automatically on closing toprovide perfect sealing. Notes:
when the vehicle is unlocked,
if you leave your hand on the handle for more than 5 seconds, the windowrises again. Remove your hand toreactivate the system. When washing your vehicle, do not forget to lock it to avoid any risk ofautomatic partial opening of the win-dows. Opening the doors from inside The door opening controls do not function when the vehicle is dead-locked.
Before carrying out any work which requires
cutting off of the bat-
tery, lower the windows
to make it easier to open andclose the doors. In the event of a battery cut-off, it is still possible to open the doors.
However, it is imperative that thedoor is not slammed on closing. It will be necessary to reinitialise the windows. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.
