Close the boot correctly.
With the vehicle stationary and
the handbrake applied, turn theignition key to position M.
Press switch 3until your hear a
signal which confirms that theroof closing operation is complete.
When carrying out this operation, the front windows and then the rearquarter panel windows open, themoving parcel shelf folds up, theboot lid opens, the roof unfolds andpositions itself, then the boot lidcloses again. Only then, lock the two hooks 2.
Note: The control buttons for the

and that the boot is closed correctly. If movement of the roof stops, a con- tinuous audible signal sounds:
Release switch 3, then press it
again to finish closing the roof.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer to have the sys-tem checked. When the vehicle is moving, if a con- tinuous audible signal can be heard, this means that the roof or the bootlid, or both, are not locked: Stop the vehicle and apply the handbrake,
Open the roof and close it again
completely, in accordance withthe procedure.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked.
The roof must not be oper- ated when a loaded lug-gage carrier is fitted to theboot lid.
During roof opening and closingoperations, to avoid any risk of
injury, ensure that there is no-onein the proximity of the movingparts. Never release button 3 for more than five minutes when the roofis in an intermediate position(neither completely open or
closed). However, in the event
of danger, release the controlknob and the operation will stop
instantly. You can resume thecycle before the audible signalceases.
In the case of an electric or hydraulic malfunction of the roof, itis possible to close the roof manu-
ally. When the side windows no longer
open completely, it is impossible tooperate the roof; however it is pos-sible to close it by using a specialprocedure. Please consult the breakdown procedure described at the endof this handbook.

Normal operation of the ABS may make itself felt by slight vibrationsof the brake pedal. In emergency braking, press very firmly without releasingthe pressure.ANTI-LOCK BRAKING
SYSTEM (ABS) AND THEELECTRONIC BRAKE FORCEDISTRIBUTION (EBFD)
The ABS, in conjunction with the electronic brake force distribution, increases the stability and manoe-vrability of your vehicle, particularlyon poor or slippery road surfaces. Note:
when changing wheels (tyres
and rims), make sure that these are approved. The anti-lock braking system comes into operation automatically whenthere is a risk of wheel lock.
When this warning lightcomes on, accompanied bya buzzer and the message"ABS fault" , it indicates
that there is a malfunction of theABS, which can cause a loss ofcontrol of the vehicle when braking.
HANDBRAKE Applying Pull the handbrake to immobilise your vehicle.
Warning:
when parking on a slope,
direct your wheels towards the pavement and pull the handbrake. Releasing Pull on the handle and press the button to release the handbrake.
Illumination of this warninglight and of the STOPwarning
light, accompanied by an audi-ble signal (while the vehicle is
being driven) and the message "hand-
brake on" on the multi-function display,
indicates that the handbrake is still onor has not been properly released.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
In an emergency, this system enables the optimum braking pres-
sure to be reached more quickly, thus reducing the stopping distance. It is triggered by the speed at which
the brake pedal is activated. The
effect of this is a reduction in theresistance of the pedal and an
increase in braking efficiency. In the event of emergency braking, depending on the force of the decel-eration, the hazard warning lights are
switched on automatically. They are
switched off automatically on accel-eration.
When this warning lightcomes on, connected to the
STOP and ABS warning
lights, accompanied by a
buzzer and the message 'Braking
fault' , it indicates that there is a mal-
function of the electronic brake forcedistribution, which can cause a loss ofcontrol of the vehicle when braking.
Stop immediately. In both cases, consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.

PUNCTURES Because this version does not pos- sess a spare wheel, you have twoaerosols for temporary tyre repairsstored in an insulated storage box
1
secured by a strap to the right-handside of the boot. Using a repair aerosol (See also the instructions on the aerosols).
If possible remove the foreign body which caused the puncture.
Position the wheel so that thevalve is at the 2 o'clock or 10o'clock position.
Shake the aerosol vigorously
before use. (In very cold weather, warm the aerosol for a few min-utes in your hands).
In one hand hold the valve.
With the other, firmly push thespray end of the aerosol onto thevalve, keeping it centralised.
Maintain the pressure firmly forone minute, then immediatelydrive at moderate speed to the
nearest garage. Aersosols enable a tem-porary repair to be car-ried out (maximum speed50 mph (80 km/h)).
After use, it is necessary toreplace the tyre. Because the aerosols are pres- surised, they must not be exposedto a temperature higher than
50 ¡C. Keep them away from heat in their insulated storage box.
