Switches are shown in wiring diagrams as if the vehicle is in the “normal” condition.
A vehicle is in the “normal” condition when:
ignition switch is “OFF”,
doors, hood and trunk lid/back door are closed,
pedals are not depressed, and
parking brake is released.

Back Door AssemblyEIS000LG
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Removal
1. Disconnect connectors in the back door and encamp the harness. Pull the harness out of the back door.
2. Support the back door lock with a proper material to prevent it from falling and remove back door stay (gas
stay).
3. Remove hinge mount nuts on the back door and remove back door assembly.
Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.
INSPECTION
1. Check hinges for the following items
Abnormal noise or door closing and opening effort
Component wear or damage
2. Apply Body Grease to the rotating part of the hinge.

REMOVAL
Front Speaker Grille (LH/RH)
1. Insert a remover into front speaker grille door side edge, and
then disengage pawls and clips.
2. Pull forward and remove.
Cluster Lid A
Disengage clips by pulling cluster lid A frontward to remove.
CAUTION:
During removal or installation, use shop cloth to protect sur-
rounding area from damage.
Combination Meter
1. Remove screw.
2. Disconnect connector on back and remove combination meter.
CAUTION:
During removal or installation, use shop cloth to protect
surrounding area from damage.

TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS
COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
Air Mix Door Motor
The air mix door motor is attached to the heater & cooling unit. It
rotates so that the air mix door is opened or closed to a position set
by the auto amp. The air mix door position is fed back to the auto
amp. by PBR built-in air mix door motor.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE FOR AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR
SYMPTOM: Discharge air temperature does not change.
Perform diagnostic procedure. Refer to AT C - 6 9 , "
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE FOR LAN CIRCUIT" .
