Press the rocker switch to the left posi-
tion 5.
The front interior lighting switches on.
Switching lamps off

Press the rocker switch to the center
position4.
The interior lighting switches off. The
automatic control function is switched
on.
Switching rear interior lights on

The rear compartment lighting is
switched on.
Switching rear interior lights off

Press switch1.
The rear compartment lighting is
switched off.Front reading lamps
Switching on

Press switch 2 or 6.
The corresponding reading lamp is
switched on.

The corresponding reading lamp is

Door entry lamps
The appropriate door entry lamp switches
on if a door is opened in darkness and if
the interior lighting is switched to automat-
ic function.
The entry lamp switches off automatically
when the door is closed.
iIf you turn the key in the starter switch
to position0 and switch off the exterior
headlamps, the door entry lamps will
remain lit for approximately five
minutes.

Instrument cluster
Instrument cluster

You can change the instrument cluster set-
tings in the Instrument cluster submenu of
the control system (

Instrument cluster illumination
1Reset knob
Use the reset knob to adjust the illumina-
tion brightness for the instrument cluster.To brighten illumination

Turn reset knob1 in the instrument
cluster clockwise.
The instrument cluster illumination will
brighten.
To dim illumination

Turn reset knob1 in the instrument
cluster counterclockwise.
The instrument cluster illumination will
dim.
iThe instrument cluster illumination is
dimmed or brightened automatically to
suit ambient light conditions.
The instrument cluster illumination will
also be adjusted automatically when
you switch on the vehicle’s exterior
lamps.

lected and the exterior lamp switch at
position0, the following lamps will
come on automatically when the en-
gine is turned on:

Use the
Headlamps delayed shut-off

function to set whether and for how long
you would like the exterior lamps to illumi-
nate during darkness after all doors are
closed. When the delayed shut-off feature
is activated and the exterior lamp switch is
in position

remain lit after you remove the key from
the starter switch:

You can temporarily deactivate the de-
layed shut-off feature:

Before leaving the vehicle turn the key
in the starter switch to position0.

Then turn it to position2 and back
to0.
The delayed shut-off feature is deacti-
vated. It will reactivate as soon as you
reinsert the key in the starter switch.
For vehicles with KEYLESS-GO*:

Press the KEYLESS-GO start/stop but-
ton on the gear selector lever
(page 33).
iYou can reactivate this function within
ten minutes by opening a door.
If you do not open a door after remov-
ing the key, the lamps will automatical-
ly switch off after 60 seconds.
