SRS (Airbag) SERVICE REMINDER INDICATOR
The SRS service reminder indicator (SRI) comes on and flashes for about 6 seconds after the ignition key is turnedto the "ON" position or after the engine is started, after which it will go out. This light also comes on when the SRS is not working properly. If the SRI does not come on, or continu-ously remains on after flashing for about 6 seconds when you turned the ignition key to the "ON" position or started theengine, or if it comes on while driving, have the SRS inspected by an autho- rized Hyundai Dealer. ABS SERVICE REMINDER INDICATOR(SRI) (Not all models)
When the key is turned to the "ON" position, the Anti-Lock Brake System SRI will come on and then go off in a fewseconds. If the ABS SRI remains on, comes on while driving, or does not come on when the key is turned to the"ON" position, this indicates that there may be a problem with the ABS. If this occurs, have your vehiclechecked by your Hyundai dealer as soon as possible. The normal braking system will still be operational, butwithout the assistance of the anti-lock brake system. OVERDRIVE OFF INDI CATORLIGHT(Not all models)
When the overdrive (4th gear) switch is turned off and the operation of overdrive (4th gear) is cancelled, the overdrivewarning light (O/D OFF) will be illumi- nated. When the switch is at the on position, the gearbox will operate in thenormal fully automatic mode and the warning light will be extinguished. SB210G1-E TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR LIGHT
Operation of a turn signal is indicated by the warning light located in the in- strument cluster. If the light fails toilluminate or does not flash, a malfunc- tion within the turn signal system is indicated.
! CAUTION:
If the both ABS SRI and Parking Brake/Brake fluid level warning lightsremain "ON" or come on while driv- ing, there may be a problem with E.B.D (Electronic brake force distri-bution). If this occurs, avoid sudden stops and have your vehicle checked byyour Hyundai dealer as soon as pos- sible.

OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
!CAUTION:
If the oil pressure light illuminates when the engine is running, an in- sufficient oil pressure level for con- tinued safe operation of the engineexists. Continued operation of the engine in this condition may result in serious engine damage. Under normal circumstances, the light will illuminate when the igni-tion is turned "on" and will be extin- guished when the engine is started. If the oil pressure warning light illu-minates whilst the engine is run- ning, stop the engine immediately and check the engine oil level. If thelevel is insufficient, add the required amount of oil as indicated by theengine oil dipstick. If the light fails to extinguish when the engine is re- started, do not continue to operatethe vehicle. If the oil pressure light illuminates during normal operation and thecause is not an insufficient oil level, or the light fails to illuminate when the ignition is turned "on", contactthe nearest Hyundai dealer before further operating the vehicle.
Warning light operation The parking brake/brake fluid level warn- ing light will be illuminated wheneverthe ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position irrespective of whether or not the parking brake is applied and mustbe extinguished when the engine starts and the parking brake released. If the warning light fails to extinguish orilluminates at any other time, the ve- hicle must be brought to rest in a safe location and the level of brake fluid inthe reservoir checked. If the fluid level is incorrect, fluid conforming to DOT 3 or DOT 4 specifications should be added.If, after correcting the brake fluid level, the warning light continues to be illumi- nated, the advice of the nearest Hyundaidealer must be sought before the ve- hicle is driven again. Your Hyundai is equipped with a diago-nally split dual braking system which will ensure that in the event of one of the brake circuits becoming defective, ap-proximately fifty per cent of the normal braking performance will be available. CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
The charging system warning light should illuminate when the ignitionswitch is turned to the "ON" position and should be extinguished when the engine is started. If the light fails toilluminate when the ignition is turned "ON" or fails to extinguish after starting the engine, the nearest Hyundai dealershould be contacted. The door ajar warning light indicates that a door is not correctly closed. Ensure that the light is extinguishedprior to driving the vehicle.

LOW FUEL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT
The low fuel warning light serves to warn the driver that the remaining fuel quantity is approximately 9 litres and that the vehicle should be refuelled. Ifthe vehicle is driven for an extended period with the low fuel warning light illuminated there exists a possibilitythat misfiring due to fuel shortage may occur. This situation must be avoided to prevent damage to the catalyst oc-curring.

This light illuminates when there is a malfunction of an exhaust gas related component, and the system is not func-tioning properly so that the exhaust gas regulation values are not satisfied. This light will illuminate when the ignition keyis tuned to the "ON" position, and will go out after the engine start. DIESEL PRE-HEAT INDICATORLIGHT-AMBER(Diesel Engine)
The indicator light illuminates amber when the ignition switch is placed at the "ON" position. The engine can be started after the pre-heat indicator lightgoes off. The illuminating time varies with the water temperature, air tem- perature and battery condition. NOTE: If the engine were not started 10 seconds after the preheating is com-pleted, turn the ignition key once more to the "LOCK" position, and then to the "ON" position, in orderto preheat again.

This indicator light comes on about 4 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or after the engine is started, it will go out.This light also comes on when the EPS has some troubles. SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT
The seat belt warning light blinks for about 6 seconds when the ignition key is turned from the "OFF" position to "ON" or "START".
CAUTION:
When you move the electric power steering back-end and forth-end continuously in stop position, steer- ing wheel plays heavily to operateanti-overload system. It is normal condition. It returns to be nomal getting time.!

INDICATOR LIGHT(Not all models)
This indicator light comes on for some seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position. At this time, youcan start the engine. The light goes out after the engine is running. In case this light goes out before you start the en-gine, you must turn to the "LOCK" position and restart the engine. In case this light blinks for five seconds whenthe ignition key is turned to "ON" posi- tion, this indicates that the immobilizer system is out of order. At this time,consult to the Hyundai dealer.

SB210S1-E BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR The front brake disc pads are fitted with an audible wear indicator which willcause a high pitched noise to be emit- ted when the remaining amount of fric- tion lining is below the specified value.When the wear indicator is heard, the brake pads should be replaced without delay to avoid damage occurring to thebrake discs and a severe reduction in braking efficiency.

Ifit lights up while the engine is running, it indicates that water has accumu- lated inside the fuel filter. If this hap-pens, remove the water from the fuel filter. (Refer to "6-26 page")

B340C02FC-EAT LIGHTING SWITCH
The vehicle side lights and headlights are operated by rotating the end of the turn signal switch barrel. To operate theside lights, rotating the switch to the first detent with ignition switch at the "OFF" position will cause the lights toilluminate. To operate the headlights, the turn signal switch barrel should be rotated to the second detent. The head-lights will only operate when the ignition switch is at the "On" position. If the ignition switch is turned to the "Off"position, only the side lights will func- tion. Side light auto cut (Not all models) If you do not turn the side lights "OFF" after driving, the side light will automati- cally shut "OFF" when the driver's dooris opened. To turn them "ON" again you must simply turn the ignition key to the "ON"position. SB220D1-E HIGH AND LOW BEAM To turn on the headlight high beams, push the lever forward (away from you). For low beams, pull the lever back (toward you). The appropriate headlight beam indicator light will come on at thesame time.
SB220E1-E HEADLIGHT FLASH The headlights may be flashed by pull- ing the turn signal switch lever towards the steering wheel. The headlights willbe extinguished when the switch is released.

SB250A1-E HEATED REAR WINDOW To operate the heated rear window de- press the switch shown. The heated rear window will automatically turn offafter 20 minutes or when the ignition is turned off. The system may be turned off manuallyby depressing the switch again. HTB039CAUTION:
The inside of the rear windscreenshould never be cleaned with a hardor sharp implement since damage to the heating element may occur. The glass should only be cleaned with asoft cloth or chamois leather with the use only of a mild detergent or pro- prietary glass cleaner where neces-sary. Only horizontal movement of the cloth should be made when clean- ing the glass and care should beexercised to ensure that the heating elements are not damaged by rings or jewellery whilst the glass is beingcleaned. NOTE: The engine must be running for the heated rear window to operate.
