The fast forward control works in
tape and CD modes.
•In the tape mode, tape direction
will automatically reverse when
the end of the tape is reached.
Tape direction select
Press to play the alternate side of
the tape.
Eject function
Press the EJ control to stop and
eject a tape.
Press the EJ control to stop and
eject a CD.
Dolbynoise reduction
Dolbynoise reduction operates in
tape mode. Dolbynoise reduction
reduces the amount of hiss and
static during tape playback.
Press the
control to activate (and deactivate) the Dolbynoise
reduction.

Compression adjust
Compression adjust brings soft and
loud CD passages together for a

Press the COMP control to activate

1Use only brake fluids certified to meet Ford specifications. DOT 3 fluid
is recommended. However, if DOT 3 is not available, DOT 4 fluid can be
used.
2Add 118 ml (4 oz.) of Additive Friction Modifier XL-2 or equivalent
meeting Ford specification EST-M2C118-A for complete refill of
Traction-Lok rear axles.
3Ensure the correct automatic transmission fluid is used. Transmission
fluid requirements are indicated on the dipstick or on the dipstick
handle. MERCONand MERCONV are not interchangeable. DO NOT
mix MERCONand MERCONV. Refer to your scheduled maintenance
guide to determine the correct service interval.
