Engine Air Cleaner/Filter
The engine air cleaner/lter is located at the center front
of the engine compartment. SeeEngine Compartment
Overview on page 5-12for location of the engine
air cleaner/lter.
When to Inspect the Engine
Air Cleaner/Filter
Inspect the air cleaner/lter at each oil change and
replace it at the rst oil change after 25,000 miles
(41 500 km). SeeScheduled Maintenance on page 6-5
for more information.
How to Inspect the Engine
Air Cleaner/Filter
To inspect the air cleaner/lter, remove the lter from
the vehicle and lightly shake the lter to release
loose dust and dirt. If the lter remains caked with dirt,
a new lter is required.
To inspect or replace the lter, do the following:
1. Remove the two bolts on the engine air cleaner/lter
and lift off the cover.
2. Twist out the old engine air cleaner/lter and
replace it, if necessary.
3. Reinstall the cover.

change your oil at 3,000 miles (5 000 km) since your
last oil change. Remember to reset the oil life system
