CRUISE CONTROL Cruise control enables the vehicle to maintain a steady speed pro-
grammed by the driver, regardless ofthe road characteristics and withoutthe driver having to touch the accelera-tor or brake pedals. In order for it to be memorised, the vehicle speed must be greater than25 mph (40 km/h) (manual gearbox)or 40 mph (60 km/h) (automaticgearbox) and fourth gear at leastmust be engaged (second gear forthe automatic gearbox).Operation
Place switch 1in the ONposition.
A speed can be memorised. Place switch 1in the OFFposi-
tion to cancel.
Memorising a speed As soon as you reach the chosen speed, press button 2or 3. This
memorises the speed, which will be
maintained automatically. Note: It is possible to accelerate and
drive momentarily at a speed greater than the memorised speed. Whenthe accelerator pedal is released, thevehicle will return to the memorisedspeed.
Cancelling the memorised speed If you wish to cancel the memorised speed: press button 4or the brake or
clutch pedal. Recalling the memorised speed After cancellation, press button
4.
Your vehicle will return to the last memorised speed. Changing a memorised speed
To memorise a speed higher than the previous one: press button 3;
release it when you have reached the required speed.
To memorise a speed lower than theprevious one: appuyez sur la touche 2;
release it when you have reached the required speed.
Cancelling the cruise control Place switch 1in the OFFposi-
tion or switch off the ignition.

Selecting the function Place switch 1in the CRUISE posi-
tion. The cruise control is not yet active and no speed has been
memorised. The display indicates:
Switching the function off Place switch 1in position 0or
LIMIT to switch the system off.
Activation/memorising a speed As soon as you reach the chosen speed, press button 2or 3. This
memorises the speed, which will
be maintained automatically. Thedisplay indicates (e.g. at 80 mph(130 km/h)): Note: It is possible to accelerate and
drive momentarily at a speed greater
than the memorised speed. Thevalue memorised flashes. When theaccelerator pedal is released, thevehicle will return to the memorisedspeed.
CRUISE CONTROL/SPEED LIMITER* Cruise control function:
this enables
the vehicle to maintain a steady speed
programmed by the driver, regardlessof the road characteristics and withoutthe driver having to touch the accelera-tor or brake pedals. In order for it to be memorised, the vehicle speed must be greater than25 mph (40 km/h) with at least fourthgear engaged (second gear for theautomatic gearbox), with the engine
running .
* During the year, according to engine.

pedal. The display indicates (e.g. at 80 mph (130 kmh)):
Note: the speed memorised is can-
celled automatically if the vehiclespeed is less than 25 mph (40 kmh),or if the manual gearbox is in a gearlower than fourth (second gear forthe automatic gearbox) or if the ESPis activated. Recalling the memorised speed After cancellation, press button 4.

Changing a memorised speed
To memorise a speed higher than the previous one, there are twooptions: Without using the accelerator: press button 3;
A brief press increases by 1 mph (1 km/h). An extended press increases the
memorised speed progressively. Using the accelerator: exceed the memorised speed until the required speed isreached,
press button 2or 3.
To memorise a speed lower than theprevious one: press button 2
A brief press decreases by 1 mph
(1 km/h). An extended press decreases
the memorised speed progressively. Cancelling the memorised speed Place switch 1in position 0or
LIMIT or switch off the ignition. Operating check In the event of a cruise control mal- function, the memorised speed iserased, the dashes flash for a fewseconds:
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked. Note:
the appearance of this display is

Selecting the function
Place switch 1in the LIMIT posi-
tion. The limiter is not yet active. By default the display indicates:
Switching the function off Place switch 1in position 0or
CRUISE or switch off the ignition to
switch the system off. The last speed programmed remains in the
memory.
Memorising a speed
A speed can be memorised without
activation of the limiter.
A brief press on buttons 2and 3
decreases or increases by 1 mph
(1 km/h). An extended press decreas-es or increases the memorised speed
progressively.
Activation/deactivation of thelimiter
Pressing button 4activates the lim-

CRUISE CONTROL/SPEED LIMITER* Limiter function:
this prevents the
vehicle speed exceeding the speed programmed by the driver (minimumspeed of 20 mph (30 km/h)). The operations must be carried out with the engine running.
* During the year, according to engine.
Exceeding the programmed speed Pressing the accelerator to exceed the programmed speed will have no
effect unless the pedal is pressedfirmly (passing the point of resis-
tance) .
The limiter is deactivated temporarily and
displays (e.g. at 80 mph (130 km/h)):
To re-activate the limiter, release the accelerator to slow down to a speedbelow the programmed speed. Note: sometimes (on a steep
descent), the limiter may not prevent the vehicle from exceeding the pro-grammed speed, this speed flashes. Operating check In the event of a limiter malfunction, the memorised speed is erased, thedashes flash for a few seconds:
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked.
