Make sure the final gear oil is at the specified
level. Add oil as necessary. (See pages 8-19 ~
8-21 for details.)
If desired, an SAE 80W90 hypoid gear oil may
be used for all conditions.NOTE
GL-4 is a quality and additive rating, GL-5 or
GL-6 rated hypoid gear oils may also be used.

3. Remove the dipstick and drain bolt to drain
the oil.
4. Install the drain bolt and tighten to specifi-
cation.
5. Fill the final gear case with oil.cCBe sure no foreign material enters the final
gear case.6. Install the dipstick.
7. Check for oil leakage. If oil leakage is
found, check for the cause.

aged. Corrosion can result when the outer
covering of control cables becomes dam-
aged. Cables can also become frayed or
kinked. Operation of controls could be
restricted, which could cause an accident or
injury.Lubricate the inner cables and the cable ends. If
the cables do not operate smoothly, ask a
Yamaha dealer to replace them.
