Be sure to use motor oils that do not contain anti-
friction modifiers. Passenger car motor oils (often
labeled “ENERGY CONSERVING II”) contain anti-
friction additives which will cause clutch and/or
starter clutch slippage, resulting in reduced com-
ponent life and poor engine performance.
