THE SEATS
Manual front seats
1 Forwardsbackwards adjustment
Lift the lever and slide the seat forwards or backwards.
2 Seat cushion angle adjustment *
Raise the catch while pressing on or easing off the
seat back to obtain the required height.
3 Driver's seat height adjustment* Raise the catch to obtain the required height.
4 Seat back angle adjustment Raise the catch to obtain the required angle.
5 Lumbar adjustment *
Raise or lower the lever to obtain the correct position.
6 Head restraint height adjustment The head restraint has a frame with notches which
prevent the head restraint dropping down (safety
device in the event of an impact).
To raise the head restraint, push it upwards.
The setting is correct when the upper edge of the
head restraint is level with the top of the head.
To lower the head restraint, it is necessary to push
simultaneously :
–
the button located on the base of the head restraint frame ,
– the head restraint downwards.
The head restraint angle is also adjustable.
To remove the head restraint, lift it out by pressing the lug.
Warning : never drive with the head restraints removed; they
should be in place and correctly adjusted.

Electric front seats

B Seat cushion angle adjustment Tilt the front of the control upwards or downwards to
obtain the required angle.
C Seat height adjustment Tilt the rear part of the control upwards or downwards
to obtain the required height.
D Seat back angle adjustment Tilt the control to the front or the rear to obtain the co r
rect angle.
E Lumbar adjustment (mechanical adjustment) Raise or lower the lever to obtain the correct position.

the correct height.

For the air bags to be fully effective, observe the following safety precautions:
• Wear a correctly adjusted seat belt.
• Sit in a normal, upright position.
• Do not leave any accessories, objects or pets between the occupan ts and the air bags.
This could hinder the operation of the air bags or injure t he occupants.
• All work on the air bag system is strictly prohibited unless it is ca rried out by an approved PEUGEOT dealer.
• After an accident or if the vehicle has been stolen or broken i nto, have the air bag systems checked.
• The air bag systems have been designed to be fully operationa l for 10 years from the date of vehicle registration.
Have them replaced by a PEUGEOT dealer after this time.
Front air bags • Do not drive holding the steering wheel by its spokes or with your hands on the centre pad of the steering wheel.
• Never remove or pierce the steering wheel or hit it violently.
• Refrain from smoking as much as possible; deployment of the air ba g can cause burns or the risk of injury from a
cigarette or a pipe.
Side air bags • Do not fasten or glue anything to the backs of the front se ats; this could cause injury to the chest or arms when the
side air bag inflates.
• Do not sit with the upper part of the body any nearer to t he door than is necessary.
• Only put approved covers on the seats. Contact your PEUGEOT dealer.
Curtain air bags
• Do not fasten or glue anything to the door pillars or to t he roof as this could cause head injuries when the curtain ai r
bag inflates.

Engine compartment fuses
Fuse box
To access the fuses located in the
engine compartment (next to the bat
tery) :
remove the style cover and unclip
the cover.
After carrying out the work, close
the cover very carefully and
replace the style cover.
The electrical system of
your vehicle is designed
to operate with standard
or optional equipment.
Before installing other electrical
equipment or accessories on your
vehicle, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer.
PEUGEOT will not accept respon
sibility for the cost incurred in
repairing your vehicle or for rectify
ing the malfunctions resulting from
the installation of accessories not
supplied and not recommended by
PEUGEOT and not installed in
accordance with its instructions, in
particular where the equipment
in question consumes more than
10 milliamperes.
*Maxi fuses provide additional
protection for electrical systems.
All work must be carried out by
your PEUGEOT dealer.

CHANGING A WINDSCREEN
WIPER BLADE
Placing the wiper blades in the
maintenance position
 Less than one minute after switch
ing off the ignition, activate the
windscreen wiper stalk to position
the blades in the centre of the
windscreen (maintenance posi
tion).
Replacing a blade  Lift the arm, then unclip the blade
and remove it.
 Fit the new blade and fold down
the arm.
To park the blades, switch on the
ignition and operate the wind
screen wiper stalk.
ECONOMY MODE FUNCTION
After the engine has stopped, certain
functions (windscreen wiper, electric
windows, sunroof, rear electric blind,
electric seats, audio equipment, tele
phone etc) can only be used for thir
ty minutes, to prevent discharging
the battery.
Once the thirty minutes are over, the
message "Economy mode active"
appears on the multi–function dis
play and the active functions are put
on standby.
REMOVING A MAT
When removing a mat on the driver's
or passenger's side, push back the
seat as far as possible and remove
the clips.
To remove a rear mat, push the cor
responding front seat forward and
remove the clip.
On refitting, position the mat and
press firmly to refit the securing clips.
LOAD REDUCTION
When driving, certain functions
(heated rear screen, heating system
for passenger compartment of diesel
vehicles, etc.) may be switched off
temporarily, depending on the level
of battery charge.
Reactivation of the functions on
standby is automatic, as soon as the
battery permits.
These functions are automatically
reactivated next time the vehicle is
driven.
Note:
if the telephone is being used
when economy mode starts, it will
still be possible to finish the call.
