Handbrake Application When you have parked the vehicle, pull up the handbrake to apply it.
To ease application and release of the handbrake, press the brake pedal andpull up the handbrake with the enginerunning. Release Press the button before releasing the handbrake.THE ABS ANTI-LOCKBRAKING SYSTEM* In conjunction with tyres of an approved make and in good condition,
the ABS system with electronic brakeforce distribution improves the stabil-ity and handling of your vehicle, par-ticularly on an uneven or slipperysurface. The anti-lock braking system comes into operation automatically whenthere is a risk of wheel lock.
Manual gearbox The positions are indicated on the gear lever knob. Reverse gear can only be engaged from neutral when the vehicle is
stationary, with the engine idling. Special features of the six speed gearbox* Raise the lock ring under the knobbefore engagingreverse. In the event of emergency braking,press very firmly without reducingthe pressure. In some conditions
the normal operation of the ABSmay be felt as vibrations of thebrake pedal.
