Storage compartment
Ð Lift the cover to gain access to the
storage compartment.
Ð Ensure that the cover is locked correctly before folding back the seat cushion. Folding seat back (Allmodels)
Ð Remove the head restraint for
complete folding of the seat.
Ð Push either of the two handles 2
towards the rear to fold the seat back.
Note: with the modifiable seat, this
can be tilted or removed in order to
fold down the seat back horizontally.Modifiable front passenger seat Access to the storage compartment
Ð Push the seat as far back as pos- sible.
Ð Lift then pull the front of the seat to unlock it.
Ð Tilt the seat cushion forwards.

The adjustment is correct when the upper edge of thehead restraint is level withthe top of the head.
The head restraint is fitted with aframe with notches, which pre-vent the head restraint droppingdown (this is a safety device inthe case of impact).
To lower the head restraint, it is necessary to push simultaneously:
Ð the button located at the base of the head restraint frame,
Ð the head restraint downwards.
To remove the head restraint, press the lug.
Never drive with thehead restraints removed;they should be in placeand correctly adjusted. Rear head restraints These have one position for when they are being used (high) and a
storage position (low). They canbe removed.
To lower the head restraints, press the lug.
To remove them, pull upwards as far as the stop then press therelease control.
FRONT SEATS
1. Forwards-backwards
adjustment Lift the control and slide the seat forwards or backwards.
2. Access to rear seats (3 door) Place your fingers in one of the two handles and push forwards tofold the seat back and move theseat forwards. On repositioning,the seat returns to its initial posi-tion. It is impossible to access the rear seats if the front seat is in thereclining position.
3. Seat back angle adjustment Push one of the two handles
towards the rear.
4. Seat height adjustment Pull the handle upwards. Remove your weight from the seat to raise, or press on the seat
to lower.
5. Head restraint height adjustment
To raise the restraint, push it upwards. Press the switch again to stop operation.

Changing the battery of the remote control
Warning that the battery is flat is given by an audible signal accompa-nied by the message ''Remote
control battery low'' on the multi-
function display.
To replace the battery, remove the screw then unclip the casing using acoin at the ring (CR 2016/3 volt bat-tery). If the remote control does not work after the battery has been changed,reprogramme the remote control.
THE KEYS The keys allow you to switch on the ignition and operate the passengerair bag disarming switch and the fuelfiller cap, as well as independentlyoperate the locks on the front doors. Central locking The keys allow you to lock or unlock the doors and tailgate from the frontdoors. If one of the doors, the tailgate (206 SW) or the rear screen (206 SW) isopen, the central locking does notwork. The remote control This performs the same functions as
the key, at a distance. LockingPress button
Ato lock the vehicle.
This is confirmed by fixed lighting ofthe direction indicators for approxi-mately two seconds. Unlocking Press button Bto unlock the vehicle.
This is confirmed by the rapid flashing of the direction indicators.

unlock the vehicle and open the rear screen. Note: If the vehicle is locked and
unlocking is activated inadvertently, unless the doors are opened within30 seconds, the vehicle will lockautomatically (206 SW).
Avoid pressing the buttons of your remote control out of range of your
vehicle. You risk causing it not towork and the remote control wouldthen have to be reprogrammed. Locating your car
To locate your car in a car park, if you have locked it:
press button A, the courtesy
lights come on and the direction indicators flash for a fewseconds.
Key in ignition
A buzzer sounds on opening the dri-
ver's door, if the key has been left inthe ignition.
Programming the remote control Switch off the ignition.
Switch the ignition on again.
Press button A.
Switch off the ignition and remo- ve the remote control key from
the ignition lock. The remotecontrol is now working again.

DEADLOCKING Deadlocking the doors is an additional security device. When it is used it means that the interior and exterior door locking controls cannot open the doors. There are two methods of operation:
Ð with the ignition key,
Ð with the remote control, which has two buttons: A.Deadlocking/locking of the doors and tailgate.
B. Unlocking.
Using the key
To deadlock , turn the key towards the rear of the vehicle.
To lock , within 5 seconds of deadlocking, turn the key towards the rear of the
vehicle again.
To unlock , turn the key towards the front of the vehicle. Using the remote control
To deadlock
, press button Aonce to
deadlock the vehicle. This is indicated by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approxi-mately two seconds.
A second press on button Awithin
5 seconds of deadlocking changes this to normal locking. This is indicated by fixed lighting of the direction indicators for approxi-mately two seconds.
To unlock Press button Bonce to unlock the
vehicle. This is indicated by rapid flashing of the direction indicators.

Note: to switch off the rear fog lamp
and the front fog lamps, turn the ringbackwards twice in succession.
Direction indicators (flashers)
Left:downwards.
Right: upwards.
Dipped / Main beam change Pull the stalk towards you. Note:with the ignition off, when the
driver's door is opened, a buzzer sounds if you have left your lightson. Front fog lamps and rear fog lamp Rotate the ring forwards to switch on
and backwards to switch off. Thestatus is confirmed by the indicatorlight on the instrument panel.
In good or rainy weather, both day and night, thefront fog lamps and therear fog lamp are dazz-
ling and are prohibited. Do not forget to switch the fog lamp off when it is no longer nee-ded.
