YOUR 206 IN DETAIL
94
Range The display shows the distance that can still be covered with the fuelremaining in the tank. Note: this figure may rise if there is
a change in driving style or road sur- face, causing a significant drop incurrent fuel consumption. If there are less than 3 litres of fuel in the tank, only three segments willbe displayed.
Current fuel consumption This gives the fuel consumption recorded during the last two
seconds. This function is only dis-played when the vehicle is travellingat more than 20 km/h. Average consumption This is the ratio between the amount of fuel consumed and the distancetravelled since the computer waslast reset to zero.
Average speed This is obtained by dividing the dis- tance travelled by the period of timethe vehicle has been in use (with theignition on), since the computer waslast reset to zero. Distance travelled This shows the distance travelled since the computer was last reset tozero. After the trip computer has been reset to zero, the range databecomes meaningful only after thevehicle has been in use for a certainperiod. If horizontal segments are displayed instead of figures when driving,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION117
Power steering reservoir
Open the reservoir, with the engine
cold. The level should always beabove the MINI mark, close to theMAXI mark. Manual gearbox This does not need an oil change. Check the level according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule.
Windscreen and headlamp washreservoir For best quality cleaning and for
your safety, we recommend that youuse products approved by
PEUGEOT (capacity 2.8 litres or
6.6 litres with headlamp wash).
Air filter Regular replacement of the filter ele- ment is essential. If you drive in verydusty conditions, change it twice asoften.
Battery
At the start of winter, have your bat-
tery checked by a PEUGEOT dea-
ler. Brake pads Brake pad wear depends on the style of driving, in particular forvehicles used in town, for short jour-neys. It may be necessary to checkthe thickness of the pads even bet-ween services. Autoadaptive automatic gearbox This does not need an oil change: have the level checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule.
Only use products
approved by PEUGEOT.
To ensure best perfor- mance from compo-
nents as important as the powersteering and the braking system, PEUGEOT selects and offersquite specific products.
RUNNING OUT OF FUEL (DIESEL) If you should run out of fuel, it is necessary to re-prime the circuit: 1.4 litre HDI engine
- fill the fuel tank with at least five litres of diesel,
- operate the manual re-priming pump, until fuel appears in the transparent pipe under the bon-net,
- operate the starter until the engi- ne starts.
