If you see any error indication in the display while using the CD or Tape mode, find the cause in the chart below. If you cannot clear the error indication,
take the car to your Hyundai dealer.
INDICATION CAUSE SOLUTION
Er2 Er3 Er6 CDP DECK MECHANICAL ERROR (EJECT ERROR, LOADING ERROR) FOCUS ERROR DATA READ ERROR DISC ERROR AFTER RESETTING THE AUDIO, PUSH THE EJECT BUTTON. IF DISC IS NOT EJECTED, CONSULT YOUR HYUNDAI DEALER. MAKE SURE THE DISC IS NOT SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED. PRESS THE EJECT BUTTON AND PULL OUT THE DISC. THEN
INSERT A NORMAL CD DISC.
CHECK IF THE DISC IS INSERTED CORRECTLY IN THE CD PLAYER.
MAKE SURE THE DISC IS NOT SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED.

In order to ensure maximum life from cassette tapes, the following points should be observed.
o Always return cassettes to the storage box
after use.
o Never leave cassettes exposed to sunlight, dampness or extreme temperatures.
o Never leave cassettes in the tape player when not in use.
o Ensure that the cassette label is not loose or peeling.

while the disc is being pulled into the unit by the Self Loading mechanism. Do not pull the unit from the dash immediately after a disc is inserted or the Eject Switch hasbeen pressed. If the unit is pulled out before an operation is completed, the disc will be unstable in the unit and may be damaged. Do not attemptto insert a disc into the unit when the unit is outof the dash or the power is off. Keep Your Discs Clean Fingerprints, dust, or soil on the surface could cause the pickup to skip signal tracks. Wipe thesurface clean with a clean soft cloth. If thesurface is heavily soiled, dampen a clean softcloth in a solution of mild neutral detergent towipe it clean. See drawing.

Handle your disc as shown. Do not drop the
disc. Hold the disc so you will not leave finger- prints on the surface. If the surface is scratched,
it may cause the pickup to skip signal tracks.
Do not affix tape, paper, or gummed labels onthe disc. Do not write on the disc.
Damaged Disc Do not attempt to play damaged, warped or
cracked discs. It could severely damage the playback mechanism.
Storage When not in use, place your discs in their
individual case and store them in a cool place away from the sun, heat, and dust. Do not grip or pull out the disc with your hand

o To avoid a build up of tape residue on the
playback head, pinch roller and capstan, clean these monthly using a proprietary headclean-ing tape or a purpose made headcleaning solution applied with a cotton bud.
o Always remove slack from cassettes before playing, by rotating a pencil inserted into thedrive socket to facilitate this.
o Do not use the cassette unit if the vehicle has been parked in extremely hot or coldambient temperatures until the temperatureinside the passenger compartment reachesnormal levels.

NOTE: Look at a tape before you insert it. If the tape
is loose, tighten it by turning one of the hubs with a pencil or your finger. If the labelis peeling off, do not put it in the player. Itmay cause the tape to jam in the drivemechanism when you try to eject it.
Do not leave tapes sitting where they are
exposed to high temperatures or, high hu-midity, such as on top of the dashboard orin the player. If a tape is extreme heat orcold, let it reach a moderate temperaturebefore putting it in the player.
o Avoid the use of C120 cassettes since the
tape is very thin and may give rise tooperational difficulty.
o Do not store cassettes in the vicinity of sources of magnetism such as loudspeak-ers, electric motors, etc.
o Avoid repeatedly playing one section of a given tape, since poor tape winding mayresult. (Fast winding the tape from end toend several times may relieve this situationshould it occur).
