2-81 Service Four-Wheel-Drive Warning Light
This light should come on
briefly when you turn on the
ignition, as a check to show
you it is working.
The SERVICE 4WD light comes on to indicate that
there may be a problem with the four
-wheel drive
system and service is required. Malfunctions can be
indicated by the system before any problem is apparent,
which may prevent serious damage to the vehicle. This
system is also designed to assist your service technician
in correctly diagnosing a malfunction.
Check Gages Light
If this light comes on and
stays on while you are
driving, check your coolant
temperature and engine oil
pressure gages to see if they
are in the warning zones.

#If your vehicle is equipped with a code 5 engine you must use regular unleaded gasoline rated at 87 octane or higher
when towing.
Maximum trailer weight is calculated assuming the driver and one passenger are in the tow vehicle and it has all the
required trailering equipment. The weight of additional optional equipment, passengers and cargo in the tow vehicle
must be subtracted from the maximum trailer weight. The weight of the trailer tongue also affects trailering capacity.

**The Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) is the total allowable weight of the completely loaded vehicle and
trailer including any passengers, cargo, equipment and conversions. The GCWR for your vehicle should not be
exceeded.

Engine Compartment Fuse Block
The fuse block is located under the hood on the driver's
side of the engine compartment. See ªEngine
Compartment Overviewº in the Index for more
information on location.
Remove the cover by turning the fastener
counterclockwise. To reinstall the fuse panel cover,
push in and turn the fastener clockwise.
