Zero re-set Your PEUGEOT dealer carries out
this operation after each service.
However, if you carry out the service yourself, the re-set procedure is asfollows: ☞ switch off the ignition,
☞ press and hold the trip recorder re-set button,
☞ switch on the ignition.
The distance remaining to the nextservice flashes. ☞ Press and hold the trip distance recorder zero reset button untilthe display indicates "=0"and
the service spanner disappears.
Important: after this operation, if you
wish to disconnect the battery, lockthe vehicle and wait for at least fiveminutes, otherwise the zero re-setwill not be registered. MAINTENANCE OF PARTS SUBJECT TO WEAR AND A CHECK OF CONSUMABLES Certain essential components on your vehicle are subject to checks at specific frequencies. -
The brake fluid is to be replaced at a maximum of every 60 000 kmor every
two years;
- The coolant is to be replaced at a maximum every 120 000 kmor every 5
years for HDI / TED direct injection Diesel vehicles;
- The pollen filter must be checked at each serviceby a PEUGEOT dealer
(services and intermediate visits) or more often, depending on the environ-
ment (dust, pollution, etc.);
- For HDI turbo diesel engines with particulate emission filter , maintenance
of the filterand topping up of the additive reservoirmust be carried out
every 80 000 km by a PEUGEOT dealer;
- Replacement of the timing belt: contact a PEUGEOT dealer;
- Air bags and pretensioning parts on seat belts must be checked every
10 years ;
- The check on tyre inflation presure must be carried out cold at least once a
month .

top it up. The figure shown is onlycorrect if the vehicle has been onlevel ground, with the engine stop-ped, for 10 minutes. Minimum oil level gauge fault Flashing of the segments indicates a fault in the oil level gauge or a lack ofoil. There is a risk the engine will be dama- ged.

Instrument panel display After switching on the ignition, three functions are shown in succession: -
service indicator (see correspon- ding section),
- engine oil level indicator,
- total distance recorder (total andtrip distances).
Engine oil level indicator When the ignition is switched on, the engine oil level is indicated for a fewseconds, after the servicing informa-tion. Maximum Check the level using the dipstick to confirm whether the display is correct;a surplus of oil can cause damage tothe engine.

AUDIO EQUIPMENT MENU FUNCTIONS Press button Nto gain access to the menu.
The word "MENU"appears on the display, then the message "MENU REG-ON" appears.
Press buttons Jand Lto scroll through the menu functions:
- REG (Access to the regional programmes), - EQ SET* (Personalised programming of the equalizer),
- PRESET / USER / CLASSIC / ROCK / JAZZ* (Activation / Deactivation of the equalizer, selection of the equalizer's pre- defined settings),
-H ICUT (Treble decrease),
- PHONE (Telephone volume adjustment),
- RM** (Radio play during cassette winding),
- CD NAME * (Naming of the CD inserted),
- SVC* (Automatique volume adjustment in relation to the vehicle speed),
- SENS DX/LO (Automatic station search sensitivity),
- CD* (Programming of data displayed for a CD).
Then, press buttons Kand Mto apply, cancel or modifiy the setting of the selected function.

Activation/deactivation of the equalizer This function permits selection of one of the pre-defined equalizer settings in relation to the type of music playing. Select the "Equalizer" function from the "Audio Setup"menu by turning knob H, then press this knob to confirm.
T urn knob Hto select the required setting "PRESET", "ROCK" , "JAZZ" , "CLASSIC" or "USER" .
When the selection has been made, press knob Hto confirm the change.
Note: by default, the "PRESET"standard setting is selected, you can also personalise your settings by selecting "USER".
Manual equalizer adjustment This function permits adjustment of the five frequency bands of the equalizer and deacitvation of the bass and treble settings. Select the "Manual equalizer" function from the "Audio Setup" menu by turning knob H, then press this knob to confirm.
Select a frequency band by turning knob H, then press this knob to confirm.
Leave the cursor in the medium position for a normal setting.T urn knob Hto set.
After setting, press knob Hto confirm the change.
Repeat these operations for each frequency band, then select "OK" to apply all of your settings.
Activation/deactivation of the automatic volume adjustment (SDV) This function permits automatic adjustment of the volume in relation to the speed of the vehicle. Select the "SDV"function from the "Audio Setup"menu by turning knob H, then press this knob to confirm.
T urn knob Hto activate the function by selecting one of the settings between "Very low" and"Very high" or by selecting
"OFF" for deactivation.
When the selection has been made, press knob Hto confirm the change.
Balance/Fader adjustment Select the "Bal/Fader" function from the "Audio Setup" menu by turning knob H, then press this knob to confirm.
Select the "Balance" function by turning knob H, then press this knob to confirm.
T urn knob Hto distribute the sound between the right and the left.
Following adjustment, press knob Hto confirm the change.
Repeat these operations for the "Fader"function.
Select "OK"to apply the two settings.

This permits locating of the required events closest to the defined
address. The options available are"Category"
, "Town" , "Street" ,
"Number" and "List of events" .
After confirming the chosen events, itis possible to gain access to the cor-responding information and locationby means of the "Info"and "Map"
options.
To confirm the option, select "OK".
"Close to address" function
If you wish to enter the destination directly on the map, select "Atlas"
from the main menu, then confirm bypressing the knob. The options available are " ",
" ", "Scale" and "OK" .
The " "and " "functions
enable you to move laterally on the map using the four directionalarrows, representing the four cardi-nal points (North, East, South,W est).
The "Scale" function enables you to
enlarge the map around the selectedpoint, in accordance with the elevenpreset levels in relation to the follo-wing scales: - 100 m/cm, 200 m/cm, 500 m/cm,
-1 km/cm, 2 km/cm, 5 km/cm,
- 10 km/cm, 20 km/cm, 50 km/cm,
- 100 km/cm, 200 km/cm.
Atlas
This is done by rotation of the knob.
To
confirm the chosen option, select
"OK" .
Following confirmation on the map, a new page appears with the"Destination" , "Diary" , "Service
info" , "RDS TMC" and "Locate"
functions. The "Locate" function enables you
to display the position of the vehicle on the map.
