YOUR 106 AT A GLANCE9
PEUGEOT SERVICING Your vehicle benefits from extended service intervals:
¥ Every 20 000 miles (30 000km) or every 2 years for petrol engines. ¥ Every 10 000 miles (15 000km) or every 2 years for indirect injection diesel engines. The extension of the service intervals means that the engine oil level must be checked regularly; topping up of the oil between oil changes is normal. It is for this reason, and for your complete peace of mind, that your Peugeot dealer will carry out a levels check and top-up midway between each routine service, at the time or distance intervals specified. This will be undertaken free of charge, provided that the maintenance of your vehicle has been carried out within the
Peugeot network. At the same time, your Peugeot dealer will offer you a Peugeot Safety Check, for a nominal
fee. A Peugeot professional will carry out a quick check and will top up the levels if necessary (oil up to 1 litre, coolant and screen wash).
If the oil level is too low, there is a risk of serious damage to the engine: check the engine oil level at least every 1,500 miles (2,500km), depending on the conditions of use.
The date of the intermediate visit is not shown by the service indicator. It is to be carried out at least every 10 000 miles (15 000km) for petrol engines and every 5 000 miles (7 500km) for indirect injection diesel engines. The extended service intervals have been made possible by technical modifications to the vehicles and lubricants:
THUS IT IS ESSENTIAL TO USE ONLY ENGINE LUBRICANTS WHICH ARE APPROVED AND RECOMMENDED BY
THE MANUFACTURER.

TRADE NAMES OF APPROVED AND RECOMMENDED LUBRICANTS IN EUROPE(1)
(1) Minimum quality level: petrol: ACEA A3 and API SH/SJ ; Diesel ACEA B3 and API CF/CD - ACEA= Association des Constructeurs EuropŽens Automobiles (Association of European Automobile Manufacturers) - API= American Petroleum Institute.
If oil is used which does not conform to the ACEA A3-B3 standards, this requires the "Arduous conditions" servicing schedule to be followed, which involves shorter intervals between services * This Energy Saving oil may only be used in engines specifically designed for it (from 2000 Model Year).
