As you signal a turn or a lane change, if the arrows don't flash but just stay
on a signal bulb may be burned out and othcr drivers won't see your turn
signal.
If a bulb is burned out, replace it to help avoid an accident. If the green
arrows don't
go on at all when you signal a turn. check the fuss (see
''FL~s~s" in the Index) and for t&ned-out bulbs.
Wiper Activated Headlamps
'This featurc activates the headlamps and parking lamps after the
windshield wipers have been in use- for approxinlatelJ7 23 seconds.
The wipcr activated headlamps will deactivatc if vou turn off the twilight
sentinel or if the windshield wipers have been tuined off for a period of
one or two scconds.

To change the
headlamps
from low
beam to high or high to
low, pull the turn signal
lever
all the way toward
you. Then release it.
When thc high beams
are on, this blue light
on the instrunlent
pallel will also be on.

Making very sharp turns while trailering coulcl cause the trailer
to come in contact with the vehicle. Your whicle could be
damagecl. Avoid making very sharp turns while trailering.
When towing a trailer? the green arrows on your instrument panel will
flash for turns even if the bulbs on the trailcr are burned out. Th, you
may think drivers behind you are seeing your signal when they are not. It's
important to check occasionally to be sure the trailer bulbs are still
working.
Driving On Grades
Reduce speed and shift to a lowcr gear bcfow VOLI start clown a long or
steep downgrade. If you don't shift down. youkight have to use your
brakes so much that they would get hot and no longer work well.
On a long uphill grade. shift down ;1nd reduce your speed to u-ound
45 mph (70 km/h) or less to reduce the possibility of engine and transaxle
overheating.

2. Disconnect thc socket from the harness by separating the 1ocking Y clip.
NOTICE: .-
Do not touch the glass portion of the new haiogen bulb! The oil
from your fingers will shorten the life of your new halogen bulb. -- -
